Blue Sapphire Diamond Ring Vintage 14 Karat Yellow Gold Size 6

A ring owned by Academy Award-winning actress Kathy Bates. Ms. Bates has been honored many times for her work, both on stage and on film and television screens. In 1991, she won an Oscar for her portrayal of Annie Wilkes, the obsessed fan of a romance author, in "Misery". She has since been nominated again for her roles in "Primary Colors" and "About Schmidt".

This estate piece features three long rows of gems, diamonds outside sapphires. The round diamonds juxtaposed to the baguette sapphires give this ring its dramatic appearance. Created using 14 karat gold, this yellow gold ring has eleven (11) channel set blue sapphires: the center stone is the largest at 4mm x 3mm, and continues to taper down. The two flanking it are 4mm x 2mm, followed by two (2) 3.85mm x 2mm, two (2) 3.5mm x 2mm, two (2) 2.5mm x 1.95mm, and finally two (2) 2mm x 2mm. Together the total carat weight is 0.73.

There are twenty-two (22) round diamonds with an approximate total carat weight of 0.88. These stones measure approximately 1.5 to 2.5 millimeters.

This ring is a size 6.
